Looks like Texas will see if it can force the issue with prospective LHN carriers by putting the first two games of the season 2 of 3 non-cons - including the gem of our non-conference schedule, Ole Miss - on the LHN.

Other upside for the athletic department? This is like imposing a local television blackout and it guarantees a packed-to-the-gills DKR.

Also worth noting that the rest of the Big 12 - I'm looking at you Kansas State, Texas Tech, West Virginia, Baylor, Kansas - is playing an absolute garbage non-con. Props to TCU, OU, Texas, Oklahoma State for trying.

Also, worth noting that there are some key conference match-ups very early in the season (West Virginia @ OU, TCU @ Texas Tech).
