Bob Stoops weighs in, supports Mike Gundy in Wes Lunt Transferpalooza...

...and confirms he's pretty much also a dick.

From the WWL.

"I support every coach and I support Mike Gundy in every way if they have their issues because all situations are different. I mean that sincerely. Mike’s doing the right thing in his case," Stoops said at an Oklahoma caravan event on Wednesday night. "A guy says, 'I’m coming to you' and you get a running back, and then all of a sudden you don’t have a running back. He leaves. That doesn’t leave your program in a great spot, right? So, I’m totally in agreement."

That's some Socratic Method type stuff right there.

"It isn’t right that they can just do what they want to do," Stoops said. "It isn’t good. I don’t believe in it."

Um...

Why don't we have the coach sign up to coach the player for as long as the player is there? Don't give me any of that a player signs with a school not a coach bullshit, Bob.

Stoops argued that players sign letters of intent with schools and not coaches, so even a coaching change shouldn't make it OK for players to leave.

I just told you not to do that.

Big time college football and the NCAA are such a bloated money Leviathan, it's kind of pissing me off. Mack pisses me off for other reasons but the fact that he never restrict a kid from doing what he wants is refreshing and should be applauded.

Anyway, it's the offseason. Let's make fun of Bob Stoops.
