Changes are coming to  University of Texas Athletics.  The Austin American Statesman is reporting that Athletics Director DeLoss Dodds will announce his retirement Tuesday per the Austin American Statesman.

The reports states Dodds will step down effective Aug of 2014, but that his replacement will be on chosen by this December. UT President Bill Powers will head up the replacement search.

The timing of having a new Athletics Director signed up adds credence to the mounting pressure on Mack Brown and will fuel speculation that his time as the head football coach is drawing to a close. Just how the transition between Dodds and his successor will be handled remains to be seen.

Dodds has spent the last 32 years running the Texas Athletics Department and has seen the program put in more than $400 million in facility upgrades while raising revenues more from $10 million to over $150 million a year.

West Virginia Athletics Director Oliver Luck is among the more prominent candidates in public speculation.
