Texas Longhorns starting point guard Isaiah Taylor has been ruled out for tonight's game against the California Golden Bears, as first reported by the Longhorn Network. Expect Javan Felix to get the start, with Kendal Yancy getting more time as the backup ballhandler. Demarcus Holland may also get some run at lead guard.
Guard Isaiah Taylor out for tonight's game against Cal after injuring wrist against Iowa. Will be re-evaluated upon return to Austin.— Longhorn Network (@LonghornNetwork) November 21, 2014
More concerning is the likelihood that Taylor will be out several weeks. There's a possibility that Taylor doesn't return until conference play, which stinks as Texas' two biggest non-conference games are still to come. The Longhorns play Connecticut on November 30 and Kentucky on December 5.
