DaMarcus Croaker Will Transfer

Texas has granted the athletic shooting guard an unconditional release and he will transfer before classes begin.  The sophomore is widely regarded as one of the best pure athletes in program history, but his inattention to defense and general inability to translate his physical specs to actual basketball has been a problem.

The development of Kendall Yancy and an incoming freshman class of guards also likely influenced his decision.

Perhaps like former transfer Sheldon McClellan, Croaker can see his game blossom in another environment.
