Kevin Durant, NBA MVP

Mark D. Smith-USA TODAY Sports

As I predicted back in January, the former Longhorn great is the 2013-2014 NBA MVP.

Durant garnered 119 first place votes to Lebron's 6.

All hail, KD.  The best thing for him now would be a 2nd round exit against the Clippers so that OKC will be forced to blow it up and start over with walking papers for Scott Brooks and a supporting cast recast to make a legitimate championship run.

This has been a great NBA season for former Longhorns overall.  LaMarcus Aldridge destroying the Rockets while averaging 29.8 ppg, 11.2 rpg in the series was icing on the cake.

By the way, for a little context on KD's season (h/t ESPN):

7th Season in NBA

Michael Jordan Kevin Durant
PPG 31.5 32.0
RPG 6.0 7.4
APG 5.5 5.5
