The wait is over.
Big news. Texas guard Isaiah Taylor (wrist) has been cleared to return. Horns open conference play against Texas Tech Saturday.— Longhorn Network (@LonghornNetwork) January 2, 2015
Isaiah Taylor's return for conference play conforms to the timetable the staff had (unofficially) targeted since his injury against
Cal Iowa over a month ago. He's been practicing with the team for about a week, and now he's ready to return to the starting lineup. Taylor gets essentially one warm-up game against Texas Tech before conference play kicks into high gear against the Oklahoma Sooners Monday night. Expect Zay to immediately put in 30+ minutes/game, with Holland as his primary backup for PG minutes and (hopefully) a return to limited minutes at the 2 for Javan Felix.
Texas is getting its most important player back after missing the past 10 games: http://t.co/50hrk3nxsP— Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanESPN) January 2, 2015
With a healthy Isaiah Taylor, I think Texas is positioned to be the favorite in a loaded Big 12.— Jeff Borzello (@jeffborzello) January 2, 2015
Welcome back, Zay. We've missed you.
