A Singaporean man was attacked by a komodo dragon recently. The first attack we’ve had in five years. The Jakarta Post reported that he ignored local warnings and decided to walk too close to a group that was feeding.
My favorite story - and I’m still waiting for it to become a straight-to-Netflix movie - was when a group of divers got stranded for hours in shark infested waters and drifted 25 miles on ocean currents. They were finally able to muster the energy to swim to an abandoned island for safety. Only to find that the beautiful crystal-beached refuge was inhabited by a large number of komodo dragons who tried to eat them repeatedly over the next 48 hours before they were rescued.
I rank giant lizards trying to eat us well down the list of challenges that Texas Football faces, but it is something we should all be cognizant of.
