Malik Jefferson, Malcolm Roach named to Nagurski Watch List

The Nagurski Award goes to the national defensive player of the year.

Jefferson certainly finds himself cast in a Rover role that plays to his strengths and allows for the easy acquisition of media friendly statistics - namely, sacks, interceptions and tackles for loss, but Roach will be the more important component for our defense. If he can give us 8-10 sacks in honest pass rush as the weakside 4i as well some maniacal backside disruption in the running game, this defense will take a huge leap forward.
