Texas lands the #1 JUCO TE in the country.

DW-A hails from JUCO title runner-up Arizona-Western and chose Texas over a final group including Alabama and Louisville. The 15th member of the 2018 class is a solid addition to a loaded group, but he clearly addresses a critical need.
Despite his size (6-4, 240 or so) he was used primarily as a flex TE. Good body control, he can high point in the red zone and he’s nimble enough to be a factor in the screen game. I don’t think he’ll necessarily blaze a 40, but he moves pretty well in pads once he’s moving.
Texas addresses a critical need and will look to add another another TE to the fold - for me, the hope is that will be either Luke Ford or Mustapha Muhammad. If you’re looking for a larger map of the 2018 recruiting landscape and comprehensive review of 2017 - I know where you can get it.
A good, surprising get for the Longhorns. So much for recruiting dead periods. And ever doubting Thomas (Herman).
