The 6-2, 200 pound receiver from Melissa finally offered his verbal commitment on Signing Day 1 eve. He had been a “silent” commitment for a few days previous. The state of Texas churns out high level WR prospects by the dozens each year and Lewis is no exception. In fact, he types to the kind of raw small town WR that Baylor, OSU or TCU usually ends up with and then terrorizes the Big 12 for the next 2-3 years.
His senior year highlights are impressive and reveal a long rangy build paired with deceptive long speed. He even logs some snaps at safety. He’s going to fill out and be a big body X receiver who, if he can build on his hands and ball tracking, could become a major deep threat.
