NFL Draft: Connor Williams to Dallas, Malik Jefferson to Cincinnati

NFL: NFL Draft-Red Carpet Arrivals Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Connor Williams was the 50th pick in the NFL draft to Dallas, where he’ll strengthen one of the most heralded OL groups in football. A Dallas native, he’ll play for a franchise that he grew up pulling for since he was a child. His stock fell with an injury-laced 2017 and questions about his ability to play tackle at the next level, but Williams greeted his selection to Dallas with tears of joy.

Williams is the first Texas OL drafted since Tony Hills...in 2008. Yikes.

Malik Jefferson was selected in the 3rd round with the 78th pick and the athletic linebacker will have ample opportunities to play early for a Bengals LB group that needs an upgrade. Jefferson was always considered a great athlete, but S&C and Todd Orlando helped create a strong junior campaign.
