Kody Clemens: Celebrating an all-time great Longhorn hitting season

Clemens homered in every game of the Super Regional against Tennessee Tech and now boasts the following gaudy stat line (with Omaha still on the horizon):

.356 Batting Average

.745 Slugging Average

.449 On Base Percentage

24 HR

72 RBI

**

Clemens now ranks 2nd all-time in single season home runs (Kyle Russell had 28), #4 in Slugging Pct, #4 all-time in single season total bases. This is a historically great hitting year, made all the more noticeable by the fact that none of his current Longhorn teammates are batting over .300.

Hard to believe that Clemens, as a sophomore, batted .241 with 5 home runs and a .361 slugging percentage.
