College World Series: Texas Baseball loses to Florida 6-1, Season Over

Texas Baseball was two games and out in Omaha and while that may be disappointing, it’s also the most realistic result for a Longhorn team that pretty much tapped out its potential by just making the Final 8 cut and winning the Big 12 conference.

Not enough bats and not enough consistent pitching.

Nonetheless, a productive, fun season that should herald better days ahead. David Pierce earned credibility as a maximizer and if he can match that in recruiting ability, Texas is in good hands.
