Justin Watkins was very briefly committed to Horns in 2018, but then again, he briefly committed to a few teams. He verbally committed to Texas, LSU, Florida State and finally Florida during his tumultuous recruitment. In May, he was arrested for following a female high school student, breaking her cellphone, attacking her car and criminal trespass. His more recent arrest features a false imprisonment and domestic battery by strangulation allegation.
Bullets dodged and all of that.
Which demands the question: if we were to compile the career trajectory of every recruit with circus recruitments, over the top social media neediness, and at least three different school commitments during their process, how would it chart out compared to the equivalently ranked no drama recruit?
My best guess is that high drama recruitments are leading indicators of a lot more drama down the road.
