One of my favorite Longhorns ever is turning heads in Seattle.
They are learning the ways of Poonatration.
Undrafted rookie, ex-University of Texas DT Poona Ford showing up in this #Seahawks mock game. Ripped off RB Mike Davis’ helmet for TFL after beating two starting linemen. Next play, sprinted outside to tackle McKissic to ruin a screen pass. #HookEm

There’s nothing guaranteed for Ford and undrafted free agents have a lot of talented veterans with contracts (and GM investment) to beat out ahead of them to earn a roster spot, but Seattle has long been a meritocracy under Pete Carroll; Carroll has consistently exhibited a knack for seeing through peripheral nonsense and discerning the true ability of players within a scheme.
Which I’m sure Poona’s agent had in mind when he sent Ford to the Pacific Northwest.
Go get ‘em, Poona.
