A double digit underdog Texas didn’t take kindly to the disrespect and whipped the Georgia Bulldogs in New Orleans.
The Longhorn defense led the way with two forced turnovers while holding a vaunted Georgia rushing attack to 72 yards rushing and less than 300 yards overall.
On offense, Sam Ehlinger carried the ball 21 times and scored 3 touchdowns as the Longhorn offense did just enough with favorable field position to put 28 on the board, including a touchdown and 2 point conversion to put the Horns up 28-7 before a late Georgia rally.
With this 10th season win, Texas has its first double digit win total since 2009. Yep, it’s been that long.
Hook ‘em!
