Eli Long enters the transfer portal

Elijah Mitrou-Long has entered the transfer portal.

This is not a terribly surprising event, as next year Long would be competing for backcourt minutes behind Matt Coleman, Courtney Ramey, Andrew Jones, and Jase Febres. He’s a grad transfer so he’ll be eligible to play immediately wherever he lands. Texas now has an available scholarship should they decide to hit the transfer market themselves or offer up another recruit, or perhaps hold onto it for the 2020 class. They have a bit of flexibility that wasn’t there before.
