2020 Texas OT commitment Andrej Karic has ceiling

Some interesting videos from Mike Roach who visited recent 2020 commitment Andrej Karic while training with former Longhorn OT Donald Hawkins. One of the recruiting and development themes I observe in Thinking Texas Football is the trend of Longhorn coaches being willing to build out “undersized” good athletes rather than accept “finished products” that are too often topped out in their development and lack the general athleticism that the college game requires.

Here’s Karic in 3 videos:

Frame

You can see his frame in the videos. Karic is a legit 6-5 and according to Roach, now up to nearly 270 pounds. He’s a big, mobile kid with plenty of room to grow and fill out. Much easier to grow an athlete than to try to get bigger man more athletic.

Looks like a good take. There’s a lot of ceiling there.
