As some of you may have heard, several of us on another UT site are gathering up donations for a billboard in Austin to show our unhappiness with the current situation at Bellmont. After talking to the billboard company - who, as a testament to Mack & Deloss' influence, are requesting we keep it from being too incendiary - we've decided to go with a reasonably polite ad thanking Mack for his service & asking him(and DeLoss) to retire. (I think it's the best way to go, anyway.) We had everything lined up, however our largest donor backed out at the last minute so we're now short about $4500. This ad would be seen on I-35 for 4 weeks by hundreds of thousands of people each day and would help make Mack's seat hotter than it already is. If you're interested in helping make up the gap in funding - we've had as little as $50 and as much as $1000 pledged, so we're not looking for one person to make up the difference(though that would be great) - please contact me on here or @bitterwhiteguy on Twitter and I'll let you know how you can help. This needs to happen in the next 48 hours or else we lose the chance at the billboard, so time is of the essence.
