Playstation Vue, an alternative to the traditional cable and satellite video providers, will soon be offering the entire lineup of Disney and ESPN channels, including the Longhorn Network.
No date has been given for the addition of the channels to the video service that Sony is designing to attract cord cutters from the traditional cable and satellite providers. No price has been set for the ABC/ESPN channels as well. Right now Playstation vue starts at $50 a month and currently offers the broadcast networks as well as cable channels such as USA, AMC, FX and the Comedy Channel among others.
The ESPN lineup that will be available includes: ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN College Extra, ESPNU, ESPNEWS, ESPN Deportes, ESPN Classic, ESPN Goal Line, ESPN Buzzer Beater, ESPN Bases Loaded, Fusion, Longhorn Network, and SEC-ESPN Network.
Playstation Vue offers Simultaneous Streaming - where with a single subscription, users can stream content across multiple devices both in and out of the home through their mobile app at the same time.
Sony has indicated that as they expand their content, Playstation Vue will offer even more of a a la carte service, where customers can avoid the "bundling" of channels which include stations they have no interest in watching.
