2013 PG Isaiah Taylor took his official visit to Texas

The Longhorns' only committed prospect was in town for the Kansas game.

Though the outcome of the Kansas Jayhawks vs. Texas Longhorns game turned out unfavorable for the good guys, it was a good day of for recruiting. The Longhorns hosted a couple of uncommitted prospects, 2013 SG Keith Frazier (Dallas Kimball) and 2014 SF Kelly Oubre (Fort Bend Bush).

Texas also hosted 2013 PG Isaiah Taylor (Houston The Village) on his official visit. Taylor, who pledged to the Longhorns in early January, is currently the only committed prospect in the 2013 class. He's expected to sign a letter of intent in April, when the regular signing period starts.

The Longhorns currently have two open scholarships for the 2013 class, with an additional scholarship possibly opening up if sophomore point guard Myck Kabongo leaves early for the NBA, as expected. Texas currently has offers out to Frazier and PF Julius Randle (Plano Prestonwood Christian), the remaining top targets in the 2013 class. Randle is expected to take his official visit to Texas on February 9.
