Liveblogging Texas vs Oklahoma State

From beautiful Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Texas needs to win this game to keep their BCS hopes alive. Stop laughing.

First and foremost Texas needs to stop the Oklahoma State running game. Easier said than done? Maybe. Would have been nice to have Sergio Kindle for this game.

No idea which Oklahoma State team shows up.

McCoy said Oklahoma State's secondary bites on the double move. What does that have to do with us?

The referee's name is 'Clete.' That does not bode well.

Nice play by Brandon Foster. Cut blocked and still made the tackle.

That drive took about 2 1/2 minutes.

T Boone Pickens bought the water on the Longhorn sideline and is now charging them for it.

Kansas has put up 69 on Nebraska. First time Mark Mangino and 69 didn't result in a woman's suffocation.

That drive only took about 4 seconds.

The receiver only used one move on that play.

Scipio's dog makes the tackle.

So against a team that is susceptible to the double move we run 3 outs and a swing pass.

Dallas Griffin is helped off the field. Replaced by Chris Hall.

Damn. Nice post pattern to Nate Jones, he gets hit and Ok St picks it.

Dez Bryant makes the catch after Texas spots him the 'c,' 'a' and 't.'

Orakpo needs to get himself under control and watch the quarterback.

Bobino misses Robinson in the backfield.

We blitz, and the OkSt runner just cuts back behind it.

OkSt mistakes Roy Miller for a linebacker and doesn't block him. He makes the tackle for a loss.

Killibrew made a play. A good play. A play involving technique.

Kansas has now scored 76 points on Nebraska.

Zone read to the short side of the field. Nice. Someone needs to do a short side stat for Texas.

Tony Hills with another personal foul. Looked like a bullshit call.

Bubble screen on 3rd and 20 against a four man rush.

Thankfully this punt return for a td will come back. Did Cox have to make more than 1 move on that return?

Backup linebackers are in with Killibrew.

Norton got blatantly held on that play.

Muckelroy blitz leads to a small gain.

OkSt goes for it on 4th and 1 and converts.

The announcer just said 'trickeration' before catching himself.

They blocked Killibrew with a slot receiver on that play.

Brown is reminding the team how much the fans are against them.

Brown looks remarkably calm after that touchdown. Must like San Antonio.

Kansas is beating Nebraska 76-39. Brandon Rush has 23 points.

Iowa State beats Kansas St 31-20.

Jesse Palmer is one of the commentators. He's so bad Steve Spurrier just yanked him in favor of Rex Grossman.

Great play by McCoy. 3rd and 2. You do have to at least hold up the defensive linemen for a second when you call a screen.

Kansas put up the most points ever against Nebraska.

Going for it on 4th and 1. We convert.

Charles with the td up the middle on the zone read. Embarrassed the safety in the open field.

OkSt fans have the same hand signals as Tech fans. There's a surprise.

Blaine Irby just walked by with a Michael Flatly headband.

Adarius Bowman gets scared by wide open spaces and drops the pass.

OkSt isn't waiting for the Texas defense to get set. Cheaters.

That was a fumble. Will be Texas ball after the review.

Apparently it was not reviewable.

Missed the 54 yard field goal.

Deep pass to an unopen Nate Jones. Then we call time out. We have seized the momentum!

Another busted play, another big run by McCoy. Great block by Charles.

And we fumble the snap out of the I. The I? Seriously?

Finley down the middle of the field off play action for a td. Good call, Greg. The linebacker took a single step forward and lost the underneath coverage.

Fuck you ABC for showing footage of a Mackovic defense.

Bobino realized his speed and just ran horizontally to the sidelines at the snap of the ball on that play. Good angle.

3rd and 10 for OkSt.

Wow. A simple pass in the flat to the rb, he reverses his field and gets 27 yards.

And then Bowman fumbles running downfield, and Texas recovers. Stripped by Muckelroy then Eddie Jones knocked the fuck out of him.

We go 3 and out. Damn.

Good play by Bobino.

Palmer just said the 'linebacker crew is what kept this Texas defense sound.'

And then Ok St runs a screen for 20 yards.

Killibrew whiffs in the open field. 1st down.

Lokey is a beast. 3rd and 7 for Ok St with 58 seconds left.

Our DTs have shut down the inside zone play.

Mike Gundy reminds everyone that he's a man, and almost fucks his team out of 3 points.

Nope, they're going for the touchdown and catch Texas with 12 men on the field.

Play fake for a wide open touchdown.

Crushing blow. 28-14 at halftime.

Oklahoma State is 8-11 on 3rd downs.

Zach Robinson 19-26 for 220 yards at the half.

Our linebackers and defensive backs are tackling like an Akina, er Mackovic defense.

Interesting stat. In the last five games against Texas, Oklahoma State has scored a total of 7 second half points.

Our return teams' motto is 'Don't fumble.'

We come out with 2 straight first downs.

Make that 3.

Listening to Jesse Palmer is like listening to the 'Don't taser me, Bro' guy.

Reviewing whether or not Jacob Lacy has his 3rd interception of the game. I don't want to live in a world where a Jacob Lacy can get 3 interceptions in a game.

And they rule it an interception.

Muckelroy makes 2 straight open field tackles. 3rd and 10.

They run the throwback yet again for an easy first down. This is a play that even Greg Davis knows about yet each time is like the first time for our defense.

Play action to Bowman for a touchdown. No one within 10 yards of him.

Robinson is 24-31 for 295.

Davis runs a reverse on 1st and 10 from our own 12. That'll show 'em.

Cosby drops a wide open pass that would have put us first and goal inside the 10. Someone needs to make a play. The punter does.

Our corner bites on play action, and Bowman catches a 40 yard pass.

Killibrew goes out injured on the next play. Norton and Kelson are already out with injuries.

Ok St punts. We'll start from our own 1.

Akina looks like Warren Oates in 'The Wild Bunch.'

Fumble the snap on first down. Our receivers cannot get open. Ok St repeatedly gets pressure with 4 guys.

Robinson with a career high 360 yards. He averaged about 190 yds a game coming in.

Ok St going for it on 4th and 3 by running a reverse. Wow. Houston makes a good play along with Beasley.

Charles with another great run for a touchdown. His 3rd carry of the second half.

Ok St over 500 yards in offense now.

Deon Beasley is still playing hard. Shows Killibrew how to fight through a block.

We'll have to go 99.

Charles breaks a 75 yarder for a td. Pretty sure he went north/south.

12-154 for Charles.

Killibrew embarrasses himself yet again on containment.

Gundy trying his best to choke this one away.

Beasley is having the best game of his career.

Oh shit. Deep pass to Shipley to the 1!

Two runs get nothing.

Tie game, bitches.

Buffoonish Gundy has to use his 2nd time out on the extra point.

Have we stopped a screen all year?

Houston makes two straight plays. We have some talented sophomores on defense.

Oh fuck! He shanks the 32 yard field goal!

Boone Pickens gets out his checkbook.

Ok St fan can't figure out whether to do the horns down or the Ok St hand signal. Ends up signing 'I'm a general studies major.'

If we win this game, we're going to the BCS.

Shipley drops a ball, and then we false start. Do we want to win this or not?

Colt does.

Ryan Bailey has a chance to be the hero. This celebration will be wild.

Yessssssssssss!

The crowd is stunned. Mack looks like he just woke up.

What an incredible fucking win. The team earned this win. Down by 21 points twice, but they didn't quit. Springboard win for this team.

We scored 24 points in the 4th quarter. Ok St scored 7 in the second half.

Two straight wins that started (almost by accident) when we got Charles the ball. Charles carried the ball one time in the 3rd quarter. His first 3 carries in the 4th quarter resulted in 2 touchdowns. He carried it 7 times for 125 yards in the 4th.
