North Carolina football coach Butch Davis was at the top of most Tennessee fans wish list to replace Phil Fulmer. But Davis apparently is telling Tennessee thanks, but no thanks.

The Volunteers are 3-7 this year with two games left, at Vandy and Kentucky at home. Tennessee has never lost 8 games in a season. They also currently hold a 23-game winning streak against Kentucky, the longest active streak in a rivalry in D-1 football. The only time Tennessee lost 7 games in a season was back in 1977, Johnny Majors first year on campus.

Meanwhile, Fulmer is rumored to be interested in the Clemson job.
