Xavier Henry to Kansas per ESPN

If the Big 12 wasn't going to be salty enough, reports from the world wide leader have the third ranked player in the land joining Cole Aldrich and Sherron Collins in the Jayhawk's already potent lineup.

Henry gives Kansas exactly what it needs and precisely the element it was lacking. Last season, teams with elite on ball defenders could take the Jayhawks out of their offensive game by neutralizing Collins and thereby exploiting Kansas' lack of playmakers. Since Cole Aldrich can't really get his own offense, if a team had a Travis Walton they could kill two, pardon the pun, Jayhawks with one stone.

The arrival of Henry makes KU a legitimate National Championship contender. Henry has great size for a two, standing 6-6 weighing a solid 215 pounds. Xavier has deep range and the size to shoot over smaller guards on the perimeter off the catch. He can also create his own offense going to the goal or room for his jumper off the bounce which are elements that the Jayhawks desperately need. Bad news for the rest of the Big 12 as the rich get richer.
