All in all, the season ending issues against KSU and ag may not have happened the way they did [although with the pitiful shape the 2006 Texas OL was in by the end of the season, there's no guarantee of VYs health or productivity], but assuming that VY was THE ingredient needed to repeat as National Champions is an assumption not based on facts or in reality.
