Another day, another national recruit.
CB Josh Turner was one of our remaining elite targets and it's icing on the cake that he's from Oklahoma (Millwood High in Oklahoma City, alma mater of the Oklahoma State Woods brothers) and chose Texas over OU, Miami, Alabama and Nebraska among others. He held 25+ offers.
Turner is an important get given our need to stockpile depth at cornerback with Chykie and Curtis Brown gone after this year and Aaron Williams possibly to the NFL.
Rivals has Turner as the #2 corner prospect in the country, ESPN has him ranked as the 87th best prospect in the country, regardless of position.
The Horns now have 21 pledges and are ranked first in the nation according to ESPNU. That won't hold, but a Top 5 class finish seems guaranteed. We'll grab a running back and cherry pick a couple of other positions and we're done.
