Texans Love Football on TV

even meaningless football on TV.

Last Night's Hall of Fame Exhibition game between Dallas and Cincinnati was the most-watched network telecast of the night.

NBC pulled a 7.6 rating (avg of 12.5 million viewers) for the Cowboys 16-7 win over the Bengals -- over 4 million viewers more than second-place CBS.

Last night's Cowboys-Bengals game was the highest-rated pre-season game in six years.

The Cowboys continue to pull strong ratings - no matter what part of the season they play. Last night's game was the highest-rated exhibition contest since the Dallas-Tennessee game in 2004.

As expected Texas markets were oversampled. Four Texas markets were in the Top Ten metered markets:

2. Dallas
4. San Antonio
5. Austin
10. Houston
