Vance Bedford returns to the 40 Acres, where he was a standout DB on the elite Akers' defenses in the early 1980s.
This year the Louisville defense finished 2nd in the country in scoring defense (12.2 ppg) while the Cardinals finished 7th in overall S+P rankings. Here's a quick snippet of his resume:

His time in Stillwater wasn't particularly glorious, but he has extensive NFL and college coaching experience at several major programs in addition to serving as Charlie Strong's defensive right hand. It's unclear whether he'll also coach DBs in addition to his DC responsibilities.
