Will the Big 12 survive to see 2018?

Let's face it, the Big 12 sucks. Being in the Big 12 is like Chinese water torture. Why wait until 2025 to escape from this hellhole? Why don't we blow up this bullshit conference in 2016? How can we achieve our goal?

1st proposition: The Big 12 has four valuable brands: Texas is the most valuable, then OU, then Kansas and finally West Virginia. The other six brands are shit.

2nd proposition: No sane conference is going to take the shit without getting some steak. Texas Tech, Oklahoma State and Kansas State can only get invited to a major conference if they are packaged with Texas.

3rd proposition: The Big 10 is negotiating a new TV contract this spring. The Big 10 is looking at expansion this year in order to maximize their TV value. The Big 10 would love to have Texas, but is rumored to be considering OU and Kansas as more realistic options. Texas is not a likely option because the Big 10 is unwilling to take Texas Tech.

4th proposition: Orchestrating a mass jailbreak is the only way Texas is going to escape from the Big 12 before 2025. This mass jailbreak from the Big 12 must include at least 6 teams and maybe as many as 8 teams.

5th proposition: The Big 10 must find at least one partner conference to absorb the teams that it doesn't want. The partner conference has to get some steak to make them swallow the shit.

6th proposition: The TV networks, ESPN and Fox are all major stakeholders who will have the final say in conference realignment. If it doesn't work for the TV networks, it ain't happening.

Now for the questions: Would a simple majority vote of the Big 12 dissolve the conference? Would dissolution of the conference nullify the grant of rights agreement? Could a simple majority cancel the grant of rights agreement without dissolving the conference?

Here are two realignment proposals. One proposal is aggressive and the other proposal is ultra-aggressive.

Aggressive Plan:

Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State and Kansas State to the Pac 16.

OU and Iowa State to the Big 10.

Kansas and West Virginia to the ACC.

TCU and Baylor left out.

Ultra-aggressive Plan:

Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State and Kansas State to the Pac 16.

OU and Kansas to the Big 10.

West Virginia, Iowa State, TCU and Baylor left out.

Thoughts?

Be excellent to each other.
