The Horns made enough headway early to overcome a number of class defections (seven overall, including one of my class favorites, Temple WR Quentin Johnston) and still sign a highly regarded class of 16 athletes. Texas will try to add as many as half a dozen athletes between now and NSD2, with a hyper focus on DL Alfred Collins from Bastrop Cedar Creek.
24-7 currently has the 2020 Longhorn recruiting crop ranked as the #10 class in the country.
They include (starred players are early enrollees):
Bijan Robinson
Hudson Card*
Ja’Quinden Jackson
Vernon Broughton*
Prince Dorbah
Xavion Alford*
Kitan Crawford

Troy Omeire*
Logan Parr*
Andrej Karic

Here’s UT’s breakdown of each recruit’s accolades.
I’ll write up a much more exhaustive analysis of each recruit in the 2020 Thinking Texas Football preview and probably discuss them on the EGAT podcast, but the popular well known headliners like 5 star RB Bijan Robinson and DL Vernon Broughton are worth the hype. QB/ATH Ja’Quinden Jackson is all ceiling, depending on how well he can adapt his passing game, and of the 3 star developmental contingent, I’m a fan of OT Andrej Karic’s potential and projection down the road.
