So is freshman John Chiles staying at QB? Depends on which newspaper you read.
According to Suzanne Halliburton in the Statesman, Greg Davis says Chiles wants to stay at QB.
But according to Joseph Duarte in the Houston Chronicle, Davis says that if Chiles doesn't win the backup QB spot the coaches will give him the option of looking at another position.
I'm obviously hoping that Chiles stays at QB. Any competent DC can find a way to scheme against a receiver in our offense. Just ask Bob Stoops about Roy Williams. But it's much harder to scheme against a QB who can pass and run.
