It seems that the NFL recently sent out a memo instructing all 32 teams that they are not permitted to instruct their cheerleaders to warm up or stretch in front of the visiting team during pregame. The ridiculousness of the edict is not the best part, though. There are some players who are very much in favor of the ruling.
Colts defensive back Marlin Jackson is a big fan of the new policy. Such a response makes one wonder if Jackson is the Doug Christie of the NFL or the John Amaechi of the league. But Jackson solves that problem for us by comparing the situation to a movie. No, not The Replacements starring the greatest actor of our time Keanu Reeves, but rather The Longest Yard. Is he thinking of the guards' cheerleaders or the convicts'?
