According to the Statesman Davis is going to simplify some of the checks and reads that McCoy does at the line, and McCoy won't be allowed to 'freelance' as much with the receivers assignments and routes.
"You want to give your players as many options as you can at the line of scrimmage and post snap," Davis said. "But at the same time, sometimes you're better off everybody knowing exactly what you're doing, even if you're running into a stacked deck, so to speak."
