Texas Tech hasn't yet sold out its home game with Colorado this weekend. Not really a story of importance, but this Saturday is also Take a Kid to the Game Day.
The idea is to pair up local kids with Tech students who will escort them to the games. I'm not sure this is such a good idea. Have you ever been around Tech fans?
The kids will probably come out of the game with PTSD. Or carnal knowledge. Are there enough (any?) mental health professionals in Lubbock to handle this?
Maybe I'm not giving enough credit to today's kids. They're tough, they're resilient and above all they're adaptable.
They might enjoy it.
