The Dallas Morning News article says Coker has "a reputation as a players' coach." That's pretty much how every former Miami coach is described. Former Miami players usually are referred to by more colorful monikers.
Meanwhile, SMU's coaching search is in its eighth week. Seriously? They've already interviewed Navy coach Paul Johnson who smartly turned them down for Georgia Tech. Now they're looking at Coker.
