I've mourned the steady decline of rock guitar over the past 15 years. So for me it's always refreshing to listen to a band who understands that rock and/or roll is electric guitar. Young Heart Attack is from Austin, and they're a lot harder than your typical Austin 'rock' band. Better, too. Released their first album Mouthful of Love in 2004, split up two years later, then regrouped and now have a new album coming out in March.
This is an allsome video for their song 'Starlite.' Features pretty much every cliche in rock. Dude that looks like William Katt with a jheri curl getting chased by the cops. Hot chick with a mullet whose dad won't let her see her boyfriend. 'Rebel Without a Cause' drag race. My favorite part is the shot of the dude outside the club who looks like Ed Norton as he would have appeared in the Beastie Boys' 'Sabotage' video.
They're playing tonight at Emo's, and all the cool kids will be there. ChrisApplewhite will be at home listening to Linkin Park.
Oh, and don't forget:
