Muschamp on sacks

TexasSports has Muschamp's thoughts following yesterday's first practice.

What caught my eye was his opinion on the importance of sacks.

"When we talk in terms of affecting the quarterback, we talk about sacks, we talk about resets, we talk about hits on the quarterback, we talk about batted balls, we talking about stemming the front and disguising coverage. There are a lot of ways to affect the quarterback, and right now, with the protection and the way quarterbacks are being coached, they get rid of the football."

He gets it. You're not always going to get a sack on the quarterback especially in the spread. Too many options to get rid of the ball. But you can still affect his play.
