The Washington Redskins signed Colt McCoy Thursday giving the team three QB's with NFL starting experience.
The former UT standout was a third-round selection of the Cleveland Browns in 2010, where he went 6-15 as a part-time starter in three seasons. Last year McCoy backed up Colin Kaepernick with the San Francisco 49ers.
Washington has Robert Griffin III and Kirk Cousins ahead of McCoy, which means his roster spot is far from certain. However, Washington has made it known that Cousins is available if a team was willing to part with at least a second round pick in the upcoming NFL draft.
