Texas Lands Syracuse Grad Transfer TE

Texas landed help at a position of need (or desperation) in the form of Syracuse grad transfer TE Kendall Moore. Moore will be eligible to play in 2017 and should arrive this summer. Moore was lightly used at Syracuse (15 catches, 150 yards in his career) but Texas needs bodies badly to help Tom Herman run the tight inclusive sets he prefers.

Starting TE Andrew Beck has missed the Spring with an injury and reserves like Aucoin and Gray are untested and haven’t proven particularly to be particularly physical at the point of attack. Incoming recruit Cade Brewer is too light to block anyone in the front 7 right now and Reese Leitao will be lucky to arrive at the 40 Acres at all.

A one year rental role player makes sense.
