Texas Football Recruiting: 2016 WR Reggie Hemphill (Re)Commits to Texas Longhorns

A nice get for 2016.

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

Reggie Hemphill has recommitted to Texas.  The Manvel WR had originally committed to Mack Brown, but the new staff and Hemphill chose to re-evaluate and see if it was still a good fit.

It is.

Hemphill is a consensus 4 star athlete with a national list of recruiting offers.  He's a small-framed receiver (5-11, 160-170) but possesses elite quickness. The economy with which he gets in and out of his breaks reminds me of DeSean Jackson.  He also moves exactly as he fast as he needs to - it's kind of amusing to see him turn it on and shut it down during the course of a play.  This is your yard after the catch guy in a spread offense.

A great complement to fellow WR commitment Colin Johnson.

Nice job, Horns.
