So there was nothing memorable enough about this past weekend's Kansas game to trump the events of the week following. I was focused, like Stillwater's stunningly good-looking lead guitarist Russell Hammond at that house party in Topeka, on other matters than the Jayhawk state.

Fittingly, this week's Mixtape entry will be focused on the surprising developments in everyone's favorite soap opera As Mack's World Turns.

You may have heard: We hired a new Athletic Director. An event that leaves more questions unanswered than answered. And leaves Young Williams a bit rankled, desiring unrankling.

In honor of this week and soap operas and the multiple post-modern perspectives through which this event can be viewed, here you are with four very different men humming a similar tune, the calming likes of which might be found on the radio in my grandmother's Cadillac back in the day:

So what's next? Is Steve Patterson a hatchet man? Is Nick Saban coming to make it all better? Will Oliver Luck screw Texas over on the Playoff Committee? Is Mack Brown staying or going?

I'm as blind as Uncle Ray on these matters. I just want someone to make Texas do what it do, baby.
