The 2016 roster (without attrition, as I’m not publically predicting who will leave, but without attrition we’ve only got 19 scholarships; and listed by tenure, not talent or depth-chart; swinging wildly on things like O-line, LB, and WR position; and including only the scholarship guys. * means the person has started).
When I look at the list, I see a light OL, still, the result of years of neglect and misses; a dearth of "true TE's", the result of gross incompetence; a glut of WR's that will, no doubt, sort out during the offseason; a need for a kicker; a DL that went from a deep strength to a thin questionmark very quickly, and a roster that's still paper-thin overall. 5 seniors on offense (one a former walkon), only 3 likely to be big contributors; and 11 seniors on defense, but only 4 likely to be big contributors. The upcoming 2016 class, and even the 2017 class, matters a great deal if a return to the top 25 is going to happen.
