2017 Texas Longhorns Recruiting Targets Shine At The Opening

2017 Texas talent sparkled in SPARQ testing today in Oregon at the Opening.

La Grange RB JK Dobbins posted the best score overall after dropping a 4.45 40, 43 inch vertical and a 42 foot powerball toss at 5-10, 200 pounds.  Dobbins is a current Ohio State commitment that the Texas staff can't and won't give up on.  His film is ridiculous. When that sort of athletic ability is married to that level of skill, it's pretty silly.

The SPARQ runner up was DFW elite DB Jeffrey Okudah who notched a 41.5 inch vertical.

LB/DE/Baller Baron Browning also impressed with a 4.18 shuttle time at 6-3, 230 pounds.  He also recorded a 37 inch vertical.  Browning is a state powerlifting champion who boasted a 630+ pound deadlift as a junior. He might have my favorite film in the state.

ILB Anthony Hines also shined with a reported 4.1 shuttle time that matches his mobility on film.  He's the rarest of rare - a true 3 down MLB who can stop the run and blanket a running back in pass coverage.

Always take workout all-stars with a grain of salt, but these are absolutely dominant players who have already proven themselves on the field (I personally think they're 4 of the best 5 players in the state).  When great film is supported by big measurables, turn on the full court press.
