Bijan Robinson, a nationally recruited 5 star running back from Tucson, AZ, will be announcing his college choice on August 2nd, having narrowed the field to Ohio St, USC and Texas. That announcement seemed preordained for the Buckeyes and all industry (and certainly Buckeye) predictions reflected that, but there’s recent buzz that the Buckeyes are on the outside looking in and that Robinson will choose between the Trojans and Longhorns.

Robinson would be an important recruit for Texas as the Horns have missed out on a number of high profile RB recruits, both in-state and nationally, compounded by the tragic health setback from 2019 RB recruit Derrian Brown (who has had some fantastic news of late).
Texas Longhorn running backs coach Stan Drayton needs this one pretty badly. So does Texas. We’ll know by the end of the week if the Longhorns landed their bell cow runner.
