According to Brian Davis at the Austin American-Statesman, sophomore guard Martez Walker has been suspended by Rick Barnes this morning after Walker was charged with assaulting his girlfriend. Davis reports that Walker was involved in an altercation with his girlfriend Thursday night, with the suspension coming down approximately 2 hours after Walker turned himself into the authorities. Martez is out on bail and cooperating with authorities, according to Barnes. At this time it isn't known how long Martez' suspension will last, so the impact on his participation with the team for the upcoming season is unknown.
