Gator Aggie Second Half Thread
Manziel is a balller. Tom Rinaldi wants to mouth kiss Mike Slive.
Gonna laugh my ass off if two mid-tier Big 12 teams kick the crap out of the SEC outdoor cocktail party.

Left 5 yards on the field by running out of bounds that early.

This season is a no lose situation for Longhorns
If the mid-level, non-contenders of the Big 12 consistently beat the SEC, we can all laugh.
If the Aggies (and to a lesser extent MO) crater, that’s fun too.

Not bad!
This is a curious sensation – kind of hoping Florida loses to prove the first point, but almost knowing that Aggy will prove the second

I think that Muschamp and the Gators underestimated
the athletic ability of Manziel and the Aggie OL. They thought that pressure would freak him out, but he made play.
In this second half Florida has worked hard to keep him in the pocket and make plays from there, which he hasn’t been able to do.

by Randolph Duke on Sep 8, 2025 6:02 PM CDT via mobile reply actions 1 recs
In the second half Manziel reverted from a college quarterback to
Kerrville’s Johnny Touchdown which is fine when you are playing 4 A teams in Central Texas, but not when you are playing a college defense.
It will be very, very interesting to see if he can put that aside or continue to revert and kill the Ags because in that offense your quarterback can run around like his freaking hair is on fire.

Never count on Ags going out of or coming into a conference.
Last game in the regular season as a SWC member they lose to Texas.
First game in the regular season as a member of the Big XII they lost at BYU.
Last game in the regular season as a Big XII member they lose to Texas.
First game in the regular season as a member of the SEC they lose to Florida.

All jokes aside
Manziel played decently well for a RS Frosh in his first game. That being said, aggy’s in for a painful season.
by UT07 on Sep 8, 2025 6:48 PM CDT via mobile reply actions
He played well in the first half, but as I said when he reverted back to
the high school quarterback who ran around with his head down where he has to stop, raise his head, and find the receivers which is where he made all those high light throws in high school, but in the second half had him gettin lit up.
UF was able to man the Ag receivers and use their linebackers to chase him. Not a good mix.
by davey o'brien on Sep 8, 2025 6:53 PM CDT reply actions
and certainly not when there are stronger
and faster linebackers chasing him…like the ones for LSU and Bama.

These are the new Aggies, same as the old Aggies
I followed the first half, then had to do some chores. Wondered if the Aggies would hold on. Should have known better. Up 17 – 10 at the half, down 20 – 17 at the end. I guess it wasn’t just the Shermanator.
Everybody's got to believe in something. I believe I'll have another beer.
by Longhorn in Canada on Sep 8, 2025 7:00 PM CDT reply actions
Florida had no tape on these Aggies.
Therefore had no idea what to expect.
They made the necessary adjustments at halftime and shut them down. Now everyone in the SEC has A&M; on tape.
by srr50 on Sep 8, 2025 7:03 PM CDT reply actions
I can't wait until Monday here in Houston when I can listen to all the Ags on the radio
calling in and talking about how loud it was, it was the greatest game day atmosphere ever, and ask if UF had ever seen anything like it and if they could have just kept it up the whole game they could have kept the Gators intimidated.
by davey o'brien on Sep 8, 2025 7:06 PM CDT reply actions
9 games
With today’s sellout, aggy has extended their ongoing all-time school record consecutive sellout streak to a whopping 9 games. Nebraska is somewhere around 325 and Notre Dame’s streak is upward of 250.
In the history of their program the most consecutive home sellouts they have ever had is 9. The next time an aggy tries to tell you about their great fan support and their great game day environment just remember – 9 freaking games.

That's a nice sentiment, but a bit intellectually dishonest.
TCU played Grambling in basically an organized scrimmage to open up the new stadium.
WVU played Marshall and up next is James Madison so I am not ready to get swelled chest about their win.
As far as the teams that left the Big XII as much as I loved the Ags losing UF is better than either team TCU or WVU has played to date.
Missouri losing to UGA isn’t exactly a black mark, who is quite sure about the UCLA loss for Nebraska though I would gather they are most likely better than Marshall or Grambling.
Finally, Colorado is complete and utter dogshit.

As a man of medicine Snide you know that
facts without any frame of reference are basically just trivia.
TCU set a record yesterday by not throwing an incompletion in their 17 pass attempts, but after watching Gramblings secondary yesterday I am not expecting the same type of result in the game in Austin.
Frame of reference might not make for good internet trash talk, but it doesn’t bite you in the ass nearly as much.
