that's good stuff
wonder why he decided not to go into any detail about the Fire Zone concept since it’s such a big part of the defense.

Hey LHS
Any chance you’re doing one of your patented video breakdowns of the WY game before Saturday? Lookin forward to some of your wisdom and musical accompaniement. I have glow sticks, pacifiers, and tabs of ecstasy at the ready.
You can charge that to the game!

I was wondering why he didn't detail Fire Zone also
Mentioned everything: Cover 3 over the top, dropping the DE, DT crossing and setting the edge. Keeping the breakdown simple?
The one part of the play I didn’t notice before, and didn’t really process, is how crucial the DT containing was. If Dorsey gets sucked inside, then Smith has free run with plenty of real estate.

This is sort of like Radio Marti for Longhorn fans
Since so many of us are still suffering from the imposed blackout on information.
Keep the clips coming.

What was Smith thinking when he put that ball up for grabs?
Any ideas?

Love Ahmad
He has really improved as a broadcaster too. One of my favorite players to ever play for us. Heart like a fucking lion. I don’t think the guy is 5-8 in his gym socks, but he was a hell of an asset at safety as a senior.

Saw on LHN last night where Ahmad said he was never flagged for pass interference while playing for UT. Pretty amazing stat. He said he played “D” with his feet, so rarely reached to make a play. I’m watching way too much LHN now that I have it. And it’s good.

This what I want from sportscasters
This is the kind of analysis you see online all the time, but never on ESPN, which rarely rises above cliches. I’d love to see stuff like this all the time. Does anyone know if LHN has similar coverage for basketball?
you ain't a beauty but hey you're all right.

In a teaser
they show Rick Barnes breaking down a play. He has a white board and marker. It’s like 3 seconds long, but leads me to believe they do.

what's amazing to me
about this play when I saw it live and again on replay is that Kenny V was able to flush the QB, stop his momentum and still make the hit. Most players coming full speed will run right by the QB when he does a quick side step. I had to watch it a couple of times to make sure that was the same player.
