Love Conquers The Red River Rivalry

I could NEVER EVER marry a sooner. I used to think I be OK with marrying an aggie, but after this past year, I’m not even sure about that.

My saying used to be: “If God loves me, I’ll marry a Longhorn. If He wants to punish me, I’ll marry a sooner. And if He just wants to play a big joke on me, I’ll marry an aggie.”

I’ve pretty much decided I’ll have to end up with a Longhorn, or marry outside the Big 12.

But that is an awesome cake.

But, I’m secretly praying that neither is much of a football fan. I take comfort in the fact that both of Mrs. Flipteach’s degrees are from UT, and understands that Sooners are, at best, let’s say… misguided.

one of the main rules i have for my life is that i will avoid people from oklahoma unless i absolutely can not and they will avoid me unless they absolutely can not. the reason for this rule in my life is because its either peace through boycott or jail. i know for a fact that i would go ballistic and put someone in a hospital if push came to shove as my hatred for everything north of the red river is so deep. i wont even let my wife drive up to any casinos for concerts or anything else as it might put a dime into their economy and i will not have that.
