Big 12 Reaffirms Commitment To 10 Teams
Conference name and logo be damned! For today at least, Big 12 = 10.

Peter Bean says he thinks we like it like this.
Barker Willie Waylon says DeLoss does like 10. Till he doesn't.
@TomahawkNation About #Texas: the only line that matters to DeLoss is the bottom line. His position on expansion depends on the financials.

There are other ways to look at an athletic department besides solely financials. Y’all are sitting on a golden cash cow that could be run (potentially much better) by someone other than DeLoss. He sure as shit isn’t bigger than your athletic department despite his actions.

Hi Snide
Whatever he does means essentially nothing to me now.
Being serious:
Isn’t there a part of you that thinks there is someone who can do it better? You’re Texas, after all.

Perspective. Dodds is the 4th AD UT has had since 1940 (Bible, Royal, Ellington, and Dodds). Compare that to the six ADs TAMU has had since Dodds took the job, or the several OU has had in the same period. The reason for AD stability is that at UT, the AD is not an independent faction. He is, instead, a box in a formal org chart. Dodds has Bellmont doing just what the Tower wants it doing.
If there is one huge disadvantage TAMU has, it’s the way that it lets rival alum factions from SA, Dallas and Houston use the Athletic Department as an arena for dick-measuring. UT doesn’t work that way.

Bottom line?!?
Did I miss something, or are there not a HELL of a lot of eyeballs in Florida?
Now somebody argue that by “bottom line”, we really mean championships. I’m getting my response ready, just in case.

Sounds like what the SEC said that first weekend A&M; thought they were getting an invite

August 14, 2025 SEC Presidents meeting.
Many Aggies thought he SEC presidents were going to extend an invite. Instead, the SEC said that no one had applied and they were happy at 12. If someone applied, they would consider it.
I get the same vibe from these statements.

Lie to me!
People are, in general, very prickly about being lied to. But when it comes to public relations, people and organizations just openly lie and no one thinks twice about it.
